Christmas Time

Its hard to believe that last year our baby girl had only been home from the NICU for 12 days before it was Christmas. She was the best present and it so fun to cuddle with her and soak up all her tinyness.

This year she is a whole new kind of fun. She has loved "helping" Mom decorate the house and the ornaments are slowly making there way to just the upper half of the tree. I guess thats what happens when you have a one year old around the house :)

I wish this time of year could last forever. Four more days till Christmas. It is flying by way too fast. Next on the list: visit Santa at the Mall and see the lights at Temple Square. Hopefully this weekend will be filled with cuddle time, movies, hot chocolate, and lots of  family, food, and relaxation. Hope Santa finds us too. We have all been very good this year :)

Jadyn discovered how cool toilet paper is a few weeks ago. Everytime she leaves the room I know where she is usually headed. And yes she loves to eat it. This is what happens when I forget to put it up where she can't reach it. Who is her Mother? 
I read somewhere that little messes left behind are reminders that a baby lives and plays here.. and that I love.

Halloween Time

(I realize I'm about about a month late posting about Halloween and with Thanksgiving a couple of days away I decided I better get on it.)

We started off our Halloween festivities by going to Daddy's work to go trick or treating.

Our little cheetah girl was all smiles.


By the time we met half of Cade's co-workers Jadyn had cried off all her makeup. Ha! She is quite our sensitive girl. Lets just say Halloween is not her favorite Holiday. I don't blame her. Scary makeup and costumes would make me cry too.


That night we headed over Grandma and Grampa Booth's house for a family Halloween party which included the most amazing chili, soup, and corn bread. So fun to hang out with family and play with cousins.

Jadyn's 1st Birthday Party


We had so much fun celebrating Jadyn turning one!

We threw a party at the park with lots of friends and family.

Poor girl went through all sorts of emotions when it came time to smash her cake. She thought it was cool when everyone was standing around her waiting for the cake, then got a little weary when they started singing, and then finally lost it when her cake was brought out in front of her. Not exactly the way I thought it would go, but oh well she was still cute. Her crying may have had something to do with me trying to put her party hat on. I guess it was too much to take in for one little girl.


We sure do love our Jadyn girl!

She has made us happier than we ever thought possible!

Our ONE Year Old


How did this year fly by so fast?

I cannot believe that it has been a whole year since our baby girl joined our family. I start to get emotional when I think back on this past year and everything that we have been through. To think about those NICU days (or should I say months) makes me so grateful for how far she has come.. She is a healthy, happy girl who loves to play and play and cruise all over the whole house. I'm so grateful that I get to be her Mother. She has brought so much joy to us this past year. We are so blessed! 

Stats:
19.2 lbs (20th percentile), 27.5 inches (10th percentile)
Jadyn's Favorite Things:
- WALK and walk and walk (with my help of coarse). At about 10.5 months Jadyn discovered she can finally be mobile by walking if she holds onto our fingers. Our lives (and my back) have not been the same since. She no longer wants to sit on the floor and play with toys. She is the happiest when she is standing or walking. For the past month she has pushed her little walker around the house and has put so many miles on that thing. She will now cruise around the funiture and stand for quite a while by herself.
- Jadyn loves to swing in the back yard with mom. She could be entertained by this for hours. Not looking forward to these winter months ahead when we can no longer go outside to play.
- She loves table foods and wants anything that Mom or Dad eats. Turkey, string cheese, pasta, fruit, yogurt, crackers and gold fish are her favorite foods. (She now has 10 teeth).
-Loves other kids. She will light up as soon as she sees them. She tends to smother our guests when they come over to play.

Daddy's Birthday



We celebrated Cade's 31st birthday with some cake and ice cream and lots of friends. Since some idiot (Me) turned off the lights so this is the only picture that turned out. Ha.
We love you Cade! Thanks for being a wonderful father and husband!

Summer Happenings

24th of July
For the 24th of July we headed down to Monroe this year. Cade has a lot of family there and was invited to play in the basketball tournament with his Jenkins cousins. It was so weird not going to Panaca but I soon found out that Monroe has all the same festivities that Panace does... BBQ, basketball tournament, parade, races, etc... so I felt a little more at home. Jadyn had a great time. Here she is at the parade with her Monroe frisby.
 Her and I even got to experience our first "Punch Bag". (Pink Lemonade in a bag that you drink with a straw for those of you who don't know). I learned that they drank their milk out of bags instead of cartons at school too. Weird :)

Hunt Family Reunion

I was so excited to go to the Hunt reunion this year at the Cleaveland Ranch where my sister Heather lives. We haven't had a Hunt reunion in awhile and I miss them so much. It's so fun to see all my Aunts and Uncles and cousins that I grew up with. I missed Grandma Hunt so much. It was weird not having her there. What a fun time we had though. Thankfully Jadyn still camped well in a tent too (for the 5th time this summer).
